Eva Schiller’s marriage to Peter is at a turning point – her daughter, Nina, will soon be moving out to go to university. Eva and Peter’s son, Jonas, spends most of his time with his friends. But Eva is scared of life with just the two of them. When Peter offers her a holiday to the South Seas instead of travelling with her and the family to her father’s 70th birthday party as promised, Eva is deeply hurt. She wishes they could have a family holiday in the Bavarian Forest where she comes from. She wants to show Peter the places where she spent her youth and for him to be moved by where she comes from.
