In the third season of Ancient Superstructures, we explore more legendary structures that impress with their immense size and remarkable architecture to decipher their secrets.
How and why were they built, what makes them significant, and how have they survived the centuries? Beyond their appearance, what are the mysteries that surround them? In aerial and satellite images, using Lidar to reveal the terrain on which they are built, we explore each structure, before moving closer to film on a microscopic scale, to understand the materials used and the challenges of soil, ageing, and preservation.
