When it comes to hunters of the sky, eagles usually command all the glory, ruling over the skies with a reign of terror. But while the eagles are magnificent and deadly, there are many other incredible birds of prey just as worthy of our attention. Some may be smaller, but what they lack in size, they make up in other areas like stealth and speed. Others boast rather surprising skills to ensure they survive. From the common kestrel that hunts its prey using the ultraviolet spectrum, to the zone tailed hawk that earns their dinner by pretending to be a vulture. Not forgetting the osprey, who turns out to be a master architect, building high rise pads within a wing’s reach of a fish supper.
