Coproductions

Our coproduction activities concentrate on developing and initiating high-value programs and on arranging and negotiating coproduction projects.

Our work can be divided into three main task areas:

Conducting the entire negotiation process for active and passive coproduction projects involving ZDF Studios and international partners
Identifying projects with worldwide market potential within ZDF’s portfolio, from the German or international TV market, securing the world rights for these productions and subsequently searching for suitable international coproduction partners.
Identifying projects with significant market potential for German-speaking areas, from the international TV market, securing the German language rights (and in certain circumstances other rights) for these productions and subsequently searching for suitable coproduction partners from the relevant territories.
