Enterprises Sonor was founded in 2001 as a joint venture by ZDF Studios and Bavaria Media. The company specialises in the production, reproduction and marketing of television music for ZDF programs and external commissions.
The music publisher’s task areas span the following individual and specialised operations:
- Casting and selection of film composers
- Music supervising
- Calculation and budget supervision
- Administration
- Clarification of rights
- GEMA registration (society for musical performing and mechanical reproduction rights)
- Supervision of GEMA and foreign royalties
- Sound recording licensing and co-operation
- Re-utilisation and licensing
