Psychologist and criminologist Vince Flemming's specialty is "reading" people, interpreting the tiniest nuances that will help him track down a murder suspect – even though he'd rather help perpetrators rather than put them behind bars. Though he's a specialist in relationships, he couldn't save his own marriage: he's divorced from Ann, head of the Homicide Dept. – and his boss.
