Anne is so busy being there for others that she has completely neglected her own happiness. She sees her parents exploring and enjoying their new lifestyle as hippies. The two of them drift through life, meeting new people, having deep discussions around the campfire and smoking pot instead of taking care of their grandchildren. Anne’s world is coming apart at the seams, and her brother Sebastian is no help at all. His longtime life partner David wants to get married and have children.
