When those who celebrate carnival come together to mourn, funerals are a bit different than usual in the sleepy community of Lindau. Werner Eberle, the Chairman of the Schellengeister Narrenzunft carnival club, has passed away. Donning colorful robes and masks, his fellow carnival devotees carry him to his final resting place. The atmosphere is exuberant at the post-funeral gathering in a small tavern. One of the revelers is drunk and acts inappropriately towards Kaja Johansen.
