Bella faces a real dilemma: in her mid-forties, she, her ex-husband Martin (Thomas Sarbacher), and her boyfriend Sebastian (Tobias Oertel) live in a shared flat. What might sound a little strange is in fact rather complicated: Bella neither has the heart to kick out her ex-husband, who is going through a personal crisis, nor to tell him that she and Sebastian are a couple.
Just as Bella decides to straighten things out and come clear with Martin, she is told devastating news over the phone: Two very good friends of hers and Martin’s have died in a tragic car accident, leaving behind them their two-year-old son, Tom. His late parents had requested Bella and Martin be given custody. Bella accepts straight away: Martin and herself will have custody of the little one and take care of him. But will this be an easy task in this tricky shared-flat situation? Will Bella and Sebastian’s relationship survive?
