Jörg Bentz has every reason to be satisfied with his life: he is a successful insurance agent, has a loving family, and the dream of owning his own house and garden is beginning to take shape. But when Bentz is found murdered in a hotel room, the hard facts behind the idyll gradually emerge: Bentz’ former boss Dirk Schrader had partied wildly with the entire staff to celebrate the success of “Agold” financial services. Their reveling took place in the hotel where Bentz was later found. But why was Jörg Bentz there, considering that he had no longer been active for “Agold” for two months now. Schumann suspects that Schrader was using his life insurances to cover up some illegal goings-on, but can’t find any concrete proof to nail the hard-nosed businessman.
