Johan Falk (JAKOB EKLUND) goes with the wife of a dead Mafia boss to Latvia to try and solve a mystery that has baffled him for years. What Johan finds in a cabin outside of Riga shocks not only him, but also GSI's new boss Sophie Nordh (MELIZ KARLGE) and the previous boss Patrik Agrell (MIKAEL TORNVING).
Meanwhile, most of the original members of the Rydell gang finish serving long jail sentences. Having also made new recruits in jail, Seth Rydell's (JENS HULTÉN) gang goes from three to twenty-three members overnight.
At the wild released-from-prison party at Rydell's new premises, where everyone has gathered, a violent attack occurs. Suddenly, it all becomes very personal. Even more so for Johan Falk and GSI when they realize that they are facing an entirely new type of enemy.
