Acclaimed star violinist Philipp Baumgarten is kidnapped after a concert in Leipzig. The perpetrator also took along his victim’s violin, made in the workshop of a violin maker in Vienna. SOKO Leipzig enlists the help of their Viennese colleagues to find out whether the value of the instrument may have played a role in the crime. But when the investigators visit the violin maker in Vienna, they find him seriously injured and unable to provide any information on his assailant.
