Tanja is in her early 50s, and she feels like life has somehow discarded her along the way. Not only is her daughter Lisa gone, as a self-employed window display decorator she also sees her orders dwindling. There is not much of a demand for papier-mâché decoration when everyone is shopping online. Not to mention that after 20 years of marriage, her ex-husband Robert has thrown himself into a new relationship with Stefanie, who is the complete opposite of his ex-wife. But then Tanja meets a younger man, Nick, and she suddenly gets a new lease on life.
