Berlin at the beginning of the 1990s: murder victim Hans-Georg Dahlmann is head of the Treuhand agency, and has greater cause to fear for his life than most in reunified Germany: a target of the Red Army Faction, hated by sections of the East German population, and in conflict with West German companies, which will do anything to prevent the creation of competition in East Germany. On his side: his young assistant Sandra Wellmann. Yet Sandra Wellmann is secretly pursuing a very different course: As member of the Third Generation RAF, she was planted with Dahlmann as an informant in order to provide information to terrorists Bettina Pohlheim and Klaus Gelfert on Dahlmann's whereabouts and his security procedures.
