German physician Vicky, early 40s, has fallen in love with a young Turk, Mehmet. Yet even though Mehmet’s family has been in Berlin for many years and has no problems with Germans, Mehmet’s mother Fatma was not expecting her son’s choice to fall upon a German. When Mehmet’s father dies, and the family cannot pay for the transport of the body to Anatolia, they grudgingly agree that they need Vicky. The stage is set for a showdown between Fatma and Vicky – the beginning of a wonderful friendship?
