Mole child Karl is upset because his dad Max thinks he's too young to go camping with the other kids. Tilda manages to change Max’s mind, but he still packs too much into his son's backpack, gives him umpteen pieces of advice and even runs after the kids to bring him his cuddly toy. The other children laugh at Karl until he helps Tilda in an 'emergency' situation, showing how big and brave he is.
