The Northwest Atlantic is a harsh and unforgiving place, shaped by glaciers, waves, and wind. Yet, it is also a place of serene, natural beauty, and rich biodiversity. Explore Canada’s wild Atlantic coast in this captivating four-part series – from the mountains of northern Quebec and Labrador to the sea cliffs of Newfoundland, from the shores of the St Lawrence River to the beaches of Nova Scotia. Each episode brings to life the gripping tales of wildlife protagonists, using immersive and intimate storytelling to showcase prowling polar bears, leaping Arctic char, and mighty blue whales – and the challenges they face in this extraordinary and fragile ecosystem.

The region is also home to First Nations like the Mi’kmaq, whose deep respect for nature highlights the need to protect these habitats, now under threat from climate change.
