We think we know all about the wildlife that lives around us – but do we? What would happen if we were to disappear, and let the animals be the directors of their own documentary? We find out in this stunning two-part series, filmed over four years in Eastern Germany, using 150 hidden and remotely controlled cameras.
In the first episode, we spy on wild boars as they build strongholds among the reeds, watch foxes dig their dens, and track red deer as they give birth and raise their young while facing attacks from wolves. The second episode showcases a very different fight – as the stags fight for dominance in majestic displays during the rutting season. And even a successful wolf hunt might end with a different victor, as wild boars challenge the wolves for their kill.
This incredible documentary provides insights into the lives and behaviour of wildlife like never before.
