Gundula and Gerald are invited to the town council meeting, because the mayor, who has grown weary of his office, has a plan – he wants to make financial expert Gerald Bundschuh a candidate for mayor. Gundula is flabbergasted, while Gerald is flattered.
Why Gerald? Why not Gundula? The question alone strikes the gathering of Bundschuhs as absurd. The fact that no one believes she can hold such an office infuriates Gundula. She is going to run for office, and that means it’s Bundschuh versus Bundschuh.
