Gundula and Gerald Bundschuh are shocked when their son Rolfi announces that he’s getting married in three days’ time. They’ve never met his American fiancée Candy and they can’t afford a big wedding party. Gundula is nonetheless determined to make it the happiest day of Rolfi’s life, and does her best to organize a garden party. But chaos ensues thanks to her mother Ilse, brother Hadi and his wife Rose, as well as Gerald’s mother Susanne. When Candy, who is not only black but also pregnant, shows up with her family, things spiral out of control.
