A security guard is found shot dead in the villa of the young heir to a large corporate group. Irene Gaup is summoned to Wannsee to investigate, only to discover the heir, Nikolaus Stahl, is missing without a trace. The murder is soon revealed to be collateral damage in Stahl’s kidnapping, according to the analysis by Carl Hösch, on site as a negotiator.
