Amelie fails to return home after a joint birthday party with her twin sister Marie, and vanishes without a trace. Her boyfriend Jonas reports her disappearance to the police. Chief Inspector Ingo Thiel establishes a task force to find Amelie. Days go by without any leads. Then Marie notices that an eye-catching patchwork quilt is missing from the couple’s apartment. It is obvious to Thiel that Jonas is hiding something.
