On a night-time call-out to a disused factory, a young female police officer is mysteriously killed. At first it looks as if her killer was taken by surprise during a break-in. However, it soon turns out it was a well-planned murder specifically targeting the young officer. When Winnie Heller tries to uncover the identity of the killer, she winds up in the line of fire of several colleagues, putting her own life at risk. Detective Winnie Heller’s investigations lead her into a web of personal tensions and obvious police misconduct by fellow officers. This raises the suspicion for Winnie Heller and Hendrik Verhoeven that the murderer must be someone within their own ranks.
