Camille, an attractive woman, is found dead on the treetop walkway at the Saar River bend. As Judith and Freddy dig deeper, their investigation reveals multiple victims of a romance scam in Camille’s social circle. Online scammers feign romantic love, only to drain their targets of exorbitant sums of money. Alarmingly, Judith’s own mother, who also knew Camille, is happily in love as well, blissfully refusing to see that her relationship is not real.
