Annie and Ralf have patched things up to some degree. However, their fragile marriage does not hold up for long – Ralf still has strong feelings for Tine and vice versa. This prompts Annie to take an unconventional step, one that demands everything from everyone. No matter how hard Annie and the others try to achieve some sort of normalcy, all signs point to disaster, and the entire patchwork arrangement is on the verge of exploding in the face of mounting emotional chaos.
