Prison is a kind of distorted, parallel world that imitates life "out there." "Behind Bars" thematises the interaction of three inmates with psychologist Nora, highlighting their judgments about life "out there." Erdem Azimut used to be a respectable gangleader; former bank employee Manfred Schuster, in turn, assaulted his boss; and Manuel Rubey, "The Count," sold luxury homes that didn’t belong to him. The first episode, "Look Here!", introduces us to our cellblock "heroes"and their professional "cheerleader" who's convinced she can help them. Nora, who's just been fired, must still negotiate with a Russian who's taken Erdem hostage.
