In her last trimester, Lena’s nerves are frayed when her midwife cancels unexpectedly. Nikita receives a final notice about her unpaid back taxes, but there’s no time for self-pity. Lena has largely avoided dealing with her pregnancy, happy to let Nikita take over, but even Lena knows she needs a midwife. Unfortunately, the only one available is Amelie Strassmann.
