Hajo Eichwald is furious. He’s just come back from the funeral of a disliked colleague to discover that his own party is already thrusting a new competitor under his nose. Uwe Bornsen is moving up the Federal Government party list and, not only does he come from the same electoral district as Eichwald, he is also a lot younger, better dressed and even on Twitter. Eichwald sees that his once secure direct mandate is on the line and immediately starts a series of large-scale schemes, which he can only have learned in Bonn or through Shakespeare’s works.
