As soon as she engages in her first case for the lobbying firm PPC, Eva Blumenthal realises how difficult it will be to uphold her moral principles. She is given the task of averting the imminent adoption of a total alcohol ban for motorists. Only if she succeeds will her new boss Wolfgang Zielert allow her to join the firm’s inner circle. Her charismatic colleague Holger Thomas introduces her to the world of lobbying and, although she knows the political arena very well, she is shocked by the deceitful methods adopted by the firm in order to influence policy. Worse still: when Business Secretary Bertram Kaiser announces a surprise policy change concerning the Renewable Energies Act to the detriment of the nuclear industry, Eva is expected to blackmail him with proof of his bogus doctoral thesis. Eva is confronted with the most difficult choice of her life.
