Renowned mystery writer Hector Minz is found dead at a lake in Munich. The SOKO team begins its investigation. In his autobiographical novel, Death of an Author, Hector Minz describes the alleged plot of his family to murder him and pass his death off as a suicide. His wife Daniela and daughter Marlen, however, offer a different perspective on the matter. They believe Hector had been suffering from mental illness, and instead of accepting help, he believed his own family was the enemy.
