Pediatrician Dr. Klein just started her new job at the children’s hospital in Stuttgart. The new team has to get used to each other and to their new medical director who has a tendency to save on everything she can. On Valerie's first day, there’s no time for introductions. Within the first hour that she’s in the hospital, an emergency occurs and she’s called on duty. Soon, she finds herself arguing with Dr. Lang, who's been at the hospital for a long time already. He wants to remove the patient's spleen whereas newcomer Dr. Klein wants to wait for a suitable donor. Unfortunately, it is out of the question that Leon’s parents donate. Suddenly Leon’s life is at a risk if a donor can’t be found at once.
