Lewis (50s), Mark (40s), Kane (30s) and Justin (20s) are stay-at-home fathers who take care of their children while their partners go out to work. Lewis is with Gemma, a nurse, and he looks after their daughter, Tilda, who has just started school. Kane runs a cake shop and has adopted Stella with his partner Tom. Kane is Mark's brother-in-law, who's married to Abi, a doctor, and their daughter's name is Poppy. And then there's former professional footballer Justin - recently divorced from Nicola - both of whom look after baby Angie and twins Zac and Jacob .
The four men meet on the children's first day at school and it's the start of a unique friendship. Each man has his own problems to overcome: custody battles, problems at work, and even the theft of a bus. But it is clear that the men are perfectly capable of dealing with their problems and supporting one another.
