Carlos Blecher rented a room at the Manzer’s place. When Gitta and Ritchie Manzer receive a visit from Derrick, they have already guessed that their roomer has been murdered while out driving his car. Carlos had been speaking to Mr. Manzer on his cell phone when suddenly shots rang out and the phone went dead.
The Manzers deny any inkling of a possible motive for the murder. Derrick greets this with skepticism – after all they knew Carlos Blecher very well. For not only had he lived with them, he had worked for them, too: acting in porno movies that Manzer produced. Had some incident occurred that led to Carlos Blecher’s being murdered? When all is said and done the circumstances of his death somehow remind Derrick of an execution.
