After falling out of touch many years ago, the paths of previously close friends Lore Winter and Anneliese Müller now cross under difficult circumstances. Lore’s husband has traded her in for a newer model, and Anneliese has recently been widowed. The two of them decide to spend their golden years together, sharing an apartment and finally enjoying all the experiences they missed as well-behaved young women and wives for so many years.
