Thomas Altmann’s wife Anja disappears two days after her birthday party. Thomas reports her missing. Soon after he becomes a murder suspect himself as there seems to be incriminating evidence. But Thomas’s lawyer Lavinia Bertok disproves the police inspectors’ arguments - they have only little evidence. Lavinia is an attractive woman, famous for winning every lawsuit. 20 years ago she was close friends with Thomas and Anja. Although she believes in his innocence she can’t prevent Thomas from being arrested.
