The gruesome murders of two young women in the Harz Mountains appear to be solved. But although the case is officially closed, Western German investigator Nadja Paulitz continues to have doubts. The murder of another young woman proves her right – the serial killer is still at large. Captain Wieditz asks Nadja to return to East Germany. She and Karl Albers begin to investigate, racing against the clock, because they know the killer will soon strike again.
