Crackpot is ice-skating. He attempts an ambitious figure of eight, loses control and accidentally smashes a caribou-shaped hole into Inui’s igloo. In his haste to repair the damage he actually makes the hole bigger. Inui says it’s probably better if he leaves the repairs to her, Lady P and Grouchy who have dropped round to see if she’s playing. Crackpot mistakenly believes that Inui doesn’t like him anymore and undertakes numerous bungled attempts to win her forgiveness.
