In "A Day in New York 1882," the viewer experiences a journey back in time to the 19th century. At the side of the German immigrant Georg Schmidt, the viewer experiences a day in the metropolis on the Hudson River. It is a special day for the aspiring lawyer. Georg has to win an important trial and free his fiancée from prison. To prove her innocence, he throws his moral standards overboard and gets involved with the New York underworld.
