We follow Dr. Jane Goodall’s journey to create a sanctuary, Tchimpounga, meeting world famous chimp Gregoire, surrogate mother La Vielle, and rescued orphan Motambo.
Soon, the sanctuary expands, and one of the first chimps to be transferred to their new islands is Wounda - during her release everybody is delighted as she hugs Jane Goodall. Wounda then has another surprise in store, giving birth to a male.
