A hiker is found dead in a remote section of the woods referred to by the locals as “murder hollow.” Across from him stand the remains of a one-eyed snowman. So begins a series of murders in a wooded area outside Freudenstadt. The investigators zero in on Florentin Sneelin, a fertility doctor living in a moated castle in the town of Glatt, whose ice cellar houses more than just champagne.
