Franz Germinger Junior and his family are investigating amongst corn farmers in the east of Munich. Suddenly they discover the head of a farmer on top of a scarecrow.
The unpopular victim was called Herbi. The Germinger family soon finds out that Herbi was still married to his wife Klaudia, but that this fact didn’t stop him from having an affair with her sister Lucy, who was expecting his child. Was he murdered out of jealousy?
Famer Herbi introduced GM corn to the region. In doing so he nearly caused his son, eco farmer Alois’ financial ruin, which, in turn, makes Alois highly suspicious. Whilst Germinger Senior is convinced of Alois‘ guilt, his son, Germinger Junior has doubts.
Seed material representative Joon de Ville gives the police a lot of grief. He was not only the victim’s best friend, but also Erika’s old flame. Now he’s trying his best to win her back. However, the only thing the cosmopolitan and man-about-town wants is being close to the investigators. When Junior gets chased by a drone, things start to get really dangerous for the Germingers.
