Dr. Véronique Gilbert is shocked when her mother reveals to her over a cup of coffee that her father is not Serge, but rather Franck, who she thought was her uncle. Véro jumps into her car, agitated, and runs into an elderly lady who had unexpectedly stepped out into the country road. The injured woman is unconscious, but her identity is later discovered; she is Dr. Hugo Simon’s mother, and is suffering from Alzheimer’s disease.
