Anette and her dominant mother’s presence are taking their toll on Oliver’s self-esteem. He had taken some pleasure in the prospect of getting to know his recently acquired loyal companion, Dagmar, but his four-legged friend simply won’t listen to him. Meanwhile, Anette has an appointment in her practice with Vera and Michael, a couple in their mid-40s who can’t get it together sexually. Their love for each other is much stronger than in most relationships, however, including Anette’s own. While Anette is seeking to improve communication with her partner, her mother Susann assumes the role of receptionist and is determined to reshape the relationship with Anette, which has become emotionally distant. It’s no wonder that Anette feels tense while undergoing body therapy with Marc.
