After being approached by Jannik, Finja interprets the eerie story he tells her as an imaginative pick-up line. But later, when she is visited by spine-chilling apparitions of children, she realises there was more to Jannik’s story than she first suspected. Along with Jannik and his brother Sam, she sets off in search of the monoplegic Ruben. He has a disturbing theory: the Pied Piper has returned to Hameln to wreak vengeance.
