Four years have gone by. There is unrest in the borderland, with more people crossing the border illegally and Border Guards working under enormous pressure. Their activities are on the radar of the Internal Security Agency. Chief Markowski is still leading the pack. When a gruesome murder is committed in the area, Prosecutor Dobosz is appointed the chief investigator and anxiously returns to the Bieszczady Mountains.
