The body of Silvio Meinert, a chef, is found in a fountain in a park in Cologne. Chief Inspectors Marie Brand and Jürgen Simmel begin their investigation. When they look into the personal life of the deceased, the detectives discover that Silvio had lived in a polyamorous household – he had been in an open three-way relationship with Laura, a physician, and Andi, a businessman, for several years.
