An old condemned house on the mudflats is to be set on fire for a training exercise with Sylt’s local fire department. Shortly before the fire is set, the fire chief finds the body of Silke Kasper, the island’s writer-in-residence, there. As investigators Ina Behrendsen and Hinnerk Feldmann examine the crime scene, they witness cabinet doors slamming, wall tiles falling off, and eerie wails reverberating through the rooms. Is the old house haunted?
