Jana Winter is called to a case by Arne Brauner. The family of Axel Schreiber, Arne’s old classmate and a fellow officer from the Husum narcotics squad, has vanished. All evidence not only leads to the sea, but ends there as well, and when fishermen find his daughter’s doll and jacket in the water, all hope seems lost. Just as the case appears to be going nowhere, someone calls to report that Hulda didn’t show up at the language school. Her husband, however, is unaware of his wife’s connection to any such school.
