A 15-years old girl is found dead in the river “Schlei”. Commissioner Brauner is completely shocked when she realized that the she recognizes the body. It is Nele, the daughter of a befriended couple. Nele’s parents cannot believe that the dead body is supposed to be their daughter. They are sure, that Nele is at a boarding school on the Danish island Fejø. When Jana Winter arrives there, she learns that another girl, Liv Nielsen, is missing. Jana has to work with colleague Malte Larssen from Copenhagen and a feverish search begins. In the course of the investigation, Jana and Malta get a great insight on the girl’s dreams, desires and resentments.
