After her mother’s death, Jeanine inherits half of a house in the idyllic Alsatian village of Louiswiller. The other half belongs to her uncle Jean, a shoemaker. Jeanine wants to sell her half, since she has a shop – and a fiancé – in Berlin. On her way to Louiswiller, her car breaks down and she meets the attractive Marc, who offers her his help. She then begins to discover some of the positive sides of this sleepy Alsatian town, which include peace, quiet – and true love!
